Not shure if this is relevant.
I have the same issue with Windows 11 and I found out, that it is not dependent on a plugin but on connected hardware. I have a Motif-Rack connected to my computer via USB. When this device is switched on, ProTool hangs on exit.

Hmmm. That is interesting. I just tried using PT without my hardware (Digi 003) and with the PT Aggregate I/O as my playback engine instead and I was able to quit normally without having to force quit.

I am also picking up on this. I dont have a solution yet.

I am running 2023.9.0 on Ventura.
I found that PT getting stuck happened more often ever since I ran it on Rosetta. Just because of one plugin I use on a daily basis (shame on you Exponential Audio which is iZotope which is Native Instruments).

Did you folks notice any difference running PT on either Rosetta or not?

I'm seeing Pro Tools crash almost every time I quit Pro Tools (even when I close the session first).

I just barely installed on a fresh new drive to Ventura 13.6. So I know all of my plugins are the latest versions as of this last month. I did not import applications or anything into this new install.

I am on an HDX system on an Intel 2019 Mac Pro 160 GB RAM, 16 core.

I'm not sure yet what is causing it.

I'm on 2023.3, on a perpetual license- and my 1 year of updates ran out a month ago! Does that mean I'm stuck with this behavior forever unless I subscribe when they have a fix?

I bought perpetual in November 2022, latest version I have is 2023.9 and on my Windows machine I have same issue regardless of whether or not I close the session first.

Is there a way to revert back to a previous version?
