PT HD 7.4.2 and 10.5.8..

Any brave soul out there tried this??

I have my LE system working fine with the same set up but I can not really risk the studio system to be down..

There are no known differences (PT wise) between 10.5.5 --> 10.5.8 so it should be safe.

Love to hear the results -- I'm in no man's land with regard to itunes, etc because I'm still on 10.5.5 with 7.4.2.

What do you mean?

I'm on 10.5.7 and Itunes works fine for me..

....might try 10.5.8 in the next few weeks...

itunes store doesn't work on 10.5.5. And also issues with connecting iPhone OS 3 w/o 10.5.8.

I just upgraded to a "new" G5 Dual 2.7 that came with 10.5.8

I installed PT HD 7.4.2 and it seems to run with no apparent problems.

I took the HDD from the old machine and put it in the new machine so I can boot into 6.7 or 7.4.2 under their respective OS X versions.

Now I'm downloading and re-installing a ton of plugins into 7.4.2 and testing as I go -

No problems so far... seems solid
