Any brave soul out there tried this??
I have my LE system working fine with the same set up but I can not really risk the studio system to be down.. Cheers Mo

Re: PT HD 7.4.2 and 10.5.8..
There are no known differences (PT wise) between 10.5.5 --> 10.5.8 so it should be safe.

Love to hear the results -- I'm in no man's land with regard to itunes, etc because I'm still on 10.5.5 with 7.4.2.

itunes store doesn't work on 10.5.5. And also issues with connecting iPhone OS 3 w/o 10.5.8.

Re: PT HD 7.4.2 and 10.5.8..
I just upgraded to a "new" G5 Dual 2.7 that came with 10.5.8
I installed PT HD 7.4.2 and it seems to run with no apparent problems. I took the HDD from the old machine and put it in the new machine so I can boot into 6.7 or 7.4.2 under their respective OS X versions. Now I'm downloading and re-installing a ton of plugins into 7.4.2 and testing as I go - No problems so far... seems solid |
