Default Any Help?? Could not complete open session ..error

HI Friends

This Time I'm sincerely in troubles...
After working all the afternoon on a paid mix session
my rig decided to crash while I was doing some moves
(G5/HD3) , so when I restarted
the computer and try to reopen my session
this is exsactly what I got:

Could not complete the Open Session... command
beacuse an error ocurred while reading the document

and to my bad luck the sessions
backup's was not activated !!

I also tried to open another session and import the Data from the session
that I was working on and the exact same thing happened again...

I alrady try the FAQ and there is only one answer that relates with
video; not my case... :-(

any help will be very much appreciated
thanks!

Hi,

When you opened a new session and tried to import data, did you try one track at a time? and did you try with un-selecting data!! in the "data to import" pull down box. try with just the audio and not the plugins etc.

other things to try... trash all the prefs Digi/DAE/pro tools from the prefs folder located in Mackintosh HD/users/your name/library/prefeences, get them ALL, then reboot.

Also delete ALL Digidesign database files from all harddrive partitions.

Chris
