Have MBox2, but miss 001, what to do? Need advice!

Hey folks. I used to have the 001 until it crapped out. Picked up the MBox2 and upgraded to 7.4

What I really miss is the 8 in / 8 out flexibility of the I/O that the 001 had.

Does anyone have any advice on (or can I even) use another method to replace the controller of the MBox?

Another thing I really miss is the latency setting that 001 had. The MBox sucks in this respect - I'm told that I have to lower the buffer size when recording to improve latency issues, and then go back and increase when mixing...

You could buy a 002 or 003

I went with an M-Audio Firewire 1814 and the M=Powered version of Protools with the 48 track option

If you want to keep with the PCI + I/O

M-Audio has the delta series also

TDM will give the best Latency results!!!!
