Default Recommendations for QT external monitor...?

Hey all,

Just about to upgrade the studio with a Blackmagic Intensity Pro, and I'm going to buy a new screen to go with it.

Wondering what's worth a look for a decent TV...? I'm looking at around the 22"-26" size, give or take a few inches.

Anything particular I should go for..? Pitfalls...?

I was recommended a Samsung 2333HD by a mate who uses his for FCP, but it now appears to be discontinued... But something along those lines would seem to fit the bill..

I'm in the UK by the way.

Thanks in advance.

In that small size, consider computer monitors with HDMI inputs that match the HD dimensions. I have a cheap Samsung HD screen as my Blackmagic desktop monitor, and after I figured out the terrible software on the screen, it looks fine. On the other hand, the giant Sony Bravia that I own does look a lot better, but it cost almost four times as much.

Can't go wrong with Samsung, their latest models all got great reviews. I'd go with at least 32".
The Samsung UE6530 is good & cheap.

Go for...
Plasmas generally respond quicker than LCDs, = lower latency monitoring :) and scrubbing. (system gets more responsive) This affects the Video Sync Offset setting.

Pitfall...
Cheap computer monitors seldom sync perfectly with video signals / HDMI. (stuttering)
