I took the survey. For me, for 2012 there is one thing that stands out about Avid in a very negative way, and that is the atrocious way in which they treated Sibelius, essentially killing off its R&D by shutting down the UK office without any alternative.

This goes both to the underlying business reasoning and the way it was handled, both vis-a-vis the now former employees and Sibelius users who were, by and large, ignored.

For example, Sibelius isn't even mentioned, like it doesn't even exist. Where does it fit into the Avid group now?

I am a Sibelius, Pro Tools (10 with CPTK) and Avid Media Composer user, by the way. This is no personal criticism towards you Tom (but it is very much so against Avid's CEO and board) and I look forward to hearing and seeing the post production demo next week.

i did my duty....AVID seems to be doing as much as they can, imo....i've got no complaints....coming from using an AMS product for 10 years will do that to you....
