Default New Imacs out today!
As I write this, Apple is still updating their store, but on the regular page under Mac, there's already info on new Imacs, with available Quad Core! They also have a new mouse design that looks interesting.

$2199 for a quad 2.8GHz with 4 gig of RAM and a 27" screen. Looks like a great setup.

Also, updated Mac Minis for those who might be interested.

A couple interesting features about the new Imacs: Optical digital in and out just like the Mac Pros, also, on the 27 inch, there's a display port IN, which right now they don't say much about but it sounds like maybe you can use your Imac's display as an external monitor for another computer. Might have interesting applications. Also, up to 16 Gigs of Ram for the higher models.

That's actually a green touch...when the CPU is hopelessly outdated at least you can keep using the screen.

Something problematic for PT is the new $999 Macbook has no FW...
