Default Serious fault with new Macs and Mix/HD

I understand from one of my dealers that there is a serious motherboard issue with most Mix cards ( a serial no. tells which) and HD. This is know about by digi and as yet not solution or press release? I have been advised not to buy latest range until digi post fix/response.

Take a look at the compatibility documents, and you'll see that Digidesign has announced that there is a problem with the latest Macs and Digi 001 and d24 cards, but there's nothing else mentioned.

I've been running an HD 5 system in a new dual 1 Ghz machine with a Magma 64 bit chassis for about two weeks, and have not had any problems.

I am not sure of the HD situation but the quote from Digi uk was that they (digi) had found that the Mix cards pre latest serial nos (the sn's refer to the main motorola dsp chips on the cards)
are showing incompatibities with the new Mac motherboards and that this needed a h/w fix from apple. The status of the HD was that they were affected (I don't know detail) but not as seriously as Mix.

Anyone from digi care to comment?
