mastering - getting a good level
hey everyone. i know this has come up many in this forum, and i searched old threads and found a few useful tips, but i still wanted to post about it. i'm trying to mix and master in pro tools and i got good levels going in, i'm hitting right around 0db at the master fader, then when i bounce to disk the result is always significantly quieter than most any 'professional' cd i 'a-b' it with. i realize that this is mostly a mastering issue, and it seems the resounding advice i found on this board is to 'limit and compress' at the master fader. is there any other advice anyone has to get a better level going out of pro tools to aiff?
any thoughts are greatly appreciated. -shawn trope1975 |
