Unwanted new behavior in 2022.6
If I'm editing MIDI on a track in Notes mode, then hit Control-Command-Arrow to switch into Velocity Mode, I'm immediately taken to the track whose name is highlighted, even if I have some notes on a different track highlighted.
I'm sure this is a preference somewhere, but I've never experienced it before. In the past, regardless of which track's name was highlighted, if I switched to Velocity Mode using the shortcut the view would not change -- it stayed on those selected MIDI notes. Can someone point me to the preference I need to turn off/on? |

Re: Unwanted new behavior in 2022.6.
Hi Eric,
Check to see if "Link Track & Edit Selection" is enabled. Upper left, after the 12345, 3rd icon over. Hope that helps.

Re: Unwanted new behavior in 2022.6.
Good find. It was indeed checked, but even after I unchecked that icon the behavior continues.
I'll dig a little deeper with these types of parameters -- I think you're onto it. |

Re: Unwanted new behavior in 2022.6
Darn, I was hoping that helped.
I was actually thinking having it enabled would help if it wasn't already. How does it work having both the 2nd (Link timeline & Edit selection) & 3rd (Link Track & Edit selection) on? Or just the 2nd one? For lack of better words... Actually, now that I reread your post I don't think I know what I'm talking about because you already have things in view.

Re: Unwanted new behavior in 2022.6
I appreciate the help! It's an odd one -- I still don't know what preference parameter is forcing this to happen. Whatever it is, it's new behavior.

Re: Unwanted new behavior in 2022.6
Glad to help! I'm now getting more the sense that this is new behavior after reading your post again.
Seems now would be an opportune time to submit a support case while MIDI is being given attention.

Re: Unwanted new behavior in 2022.6
Am I the only one experiencing this behavior with default Preference settings?
I'll check to see if EuCon is somehow forcing this to happen. Maybe it's a setting in that app. |

Re: Unwanted new behavior in 2022.6
Check out what I found in the new Keyboard Shortcuts menu....
When I set the command I think you want to the shortcut I think you were using, I see another command might be using your shortcut to do what you are observing!!! Shifting key commands on us, shameless haha.... Hopefully you can figure this out for your own setup with this info...

2022.6 is garbage. Revert back for midi.
