Default cant see availble buses!

i have a session that was originaly recorded on a mac. but i bought the PC version so im now editing at home on a PC. anyway, i never used the templates, but instead justused a blank canvas if you like. the template feels a bit differnt to my session. the transport is diffent and stuff. my main issues is that there doesnt seemto be any output buss other than "path 1" for each track, so my question is, how do you sort out the buss so that i can actualy see and use them?!

i also just tried importingmy audio files to the template session as it was all set up with buses and stuff, but the tracsk imported out of sync! any ideas why that is?

thanks

you probably need to re-setup your I/O settings.

As for importing to a new session, first open the original session and consolidate every track back to tome "zero". Then go to the regionlist(right side of the screen) and select unused audio>clear selected>remove. Now the region list should show only the consolidated tracks and you can import those new consolidated tracks and they will all line up perfectly.

rageagainst,
When you open a session from another studio, being either Mac or PC, LE or TDM there is a likelihood of inheriting a whole different I/O set.
Simply visit the I/O setup dialogue ( PT did prompt you to do that, yes ? )and call up one of your saved configurations, or simply hit "default' on the Output tab. Now..you should be seeing your usual paths on the Mix screen. Click on the Output assigns and set them to what you would like. To set all of them to..say "analog 1/2", hold the "alt" modifier and then click to select.
hope this helps..
