digital performer crashing uncontrollably

Hi, I have DP 4.11, 4.12 just wouldn't work.. It is crashing uncontrollably since my uncle set it to use my MBOX, i've tried updating the firmware but it says it's the same.. what could be wrong? it says submit report to apple, blah blah.. trivially... and it does the spinning wheel thing and freezes kinda like http://answerbase.digidesign.com/detail.cfm?DID=27427

oh and i had protools 6.2.2 le and i updated to 6.4.1 right now i think, still crashes!!!! crashes began when we started using the mbox as a sound card for dp4.

Regarding DP4, do you have alot of plugins&virtual synth-instruments? If so, try to run it with none to start then add 1 plug-in at a time see if it all goes well... Many audio units are still bugy I found and crash DP randomly in a very short time.

well i'm going to give it a shot going from 4.0 and installing the hardware, then 4.11 because i read that on their site.. but that's not going to help. i installed 4.0 and it's crashing from start.. i dont know if i have any plugins but i think the only thing i've added is sample tank 2.. but even with it uninstalled it gives me problems.
