Feature Request in Ultimate Preview and Retro Automation
Likely this has been asked already but here goes :
Big Flashing Green Light to let us know were in Preview mode. Can't tell you how often even after 20 yrs of using protools I'll go into Preview and forget to toggle it off, then thinking I'm out of Preview make a ton of real-time moves thinking I'm writing automation( which I'm obviously not!) Big Green Flashing light or something to give us good visual cue indicating we're in Preview mode would be Awesome. I can't be the only one who experiences this or am i? . I always feel like a hoser after it happens and give a little grumble and laugh telling myself to not do that again and inevitably I'll do it again at some point. Lo its kinda comical actually. In terms of automation would be super cool to have some kind of retro capture automation regardless whether your in an actual automation mode or not and even in Preview for that matter.i know or heard some daws actually do this , like you can be in read mode and simply be experimenting with moves and realize you like what you did and with a click of a magic button you can write all those moves. I'm sure I can't be the only mixer wishing we had this.

Re: Feature Request in Ultimate Preview and Retro Automation
I cannot do it off the bat though I imagine the scripting SDK could write the state of being in preview or not to a variable. A plugin or automation could be written just to read the state and flash green depending.
Such as... On every halt of transport, run a simple if else statement to get a light flashing if the state of the system is in Preview. Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk

Re: Feature Request in Ultimate Preview and Retro Automation
Yes definitely an old request but doesn't hurt asking again!
It needs to be big and hard to ignore.
