Default Recording with playback - Delay issue

Hi,

I'm fairly sure that this thread has come up before, but I didn't know what keywords to search for and the ones I found were about other delay problems.

I'm using Pro Tools 8.0.4 on Windows 7 x64 with an Mbox 2 Mini. This is the first time I record after having to reformat my primary drive, and it's also the first time using version 8.0.4, which is a fresh breath. I just started a new project where I'm using midi to control Superior Drummer 2.2.1 and Structure Free. I started recording guitars the way I've always done it, got through the song... But when I listened to it the guitar was always somewhere around 300ms ahead of the clicks. I've always recorded while having playback with the mix button on my Mbox 2 all the way to the right, muting the track I'm recording, so I hear everything with zero delay. No problems before now. No delay whatsoever during playback, but somethings obviously wrong in the recording process!

Here's an image showing what I mean:

The red line is showing where the audio should start there. I'm just playing 1/4 all the time here to demonstrate. The grid is set to bars, not samples.

Soooo... Am I doing something seriously wrong here?

You need 2 things here. First, get the cs2 update. Then, DO NOT work at 48K. This is a known issue with 8.0.4 and the cs2 update solved it EXCEPT for while working at 48K. If you are okay with 44.1(like most of us), then cs2 should make your day
