Default -9073 Error

'Dae can't get audio from the drive(s) fast enough.
Your drive may be too slow or fragmented, or a firewire drive could be having trouble due to the extra firewire bandwidth or CPU load. (-9073)'

Anyone know what this is all about?

I'm using

Macbook Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz, 4GB, OSX 10.5 .6
Firewire Audio Drive
Mbox 1
PT 8.0

All Defragged.

How many tracks?

Are you using any plugins that stream audio, like BFD?

Default Re: -9073 Error

I'm using the 'best' Pro Tools' system that I have owned since I started on PT5.1, Audiomedia III on a G4 450mhz years ago

and

now I have the least functioning machine that I have ever had......

I have had these 4 errors continually:

-6105, -9136, -9073, -9512

Have done all the usual things: delete prefs, reboot, defrag, chang ports, update plugs etc.

Have tried both Mbox 1 and Mbox 2 with the same problem.

I can't play for longer that 4 seconds before audio drops out with an error message.

Using 9 tracks 4 plug-ins: Digi Eq, PSP Easy Verb, Massey CT4 and Ozone 4 on the Master

On PT8 cs3, OSX 10.5.6, Macbook 2.0Ghz, 4GB, 7200 Firewire Audio External drive, Mbox 1 & have tried Mbox 2

Any Ideas??

Cheers

(I'm just about to re-format my Audio Drive, and see if thst makes a difference)

RE: No difference after formatting Audio Drive

Only option is to go back to 7.4LE - No one has offered any solutions here at the DUC. PT8 is a nightmare - it's not for musicians, it's for computer techs.
