Pro Tools 7.3 and 7.3.1 LE with new Macbook pro
I just upgraded to a new macbook pro 2.33GHz intel core 2 duo. I also have LE 7.3. Digi design says on it's website that this combination will work together. I am having CPU overload error
-6160 while recording or playing back. I have even tried to record 4 tracks through my Mbox2 with no plugins. It still crashes! This macbook is supposed to fly with 2 processors. What gives?! I have tried several different settings in the H/W buffer size and processor settings and none of them really help. I have noticed an interesting thing. Pro Tools only crashes when I use the track pad or the space bar, not when I use my wireless bluetooth mighty mouse. What is the problem? |

Re: Pro Tools 7.3 and 7.3.1 LE with new Macbook pro
I am having the same issue. I couldn't get EZDrummer to work without overloads. I did what you did and the issue went away. Though, if I have the bluetooth mouse connected, I can use the trackpad or spacebar to begin playback with no problem.
Not sure what the next step is though to resolve this issue so I don't have to have a mouse connected. The problem seems to reside in these new Macbook Pros. Would this be a software update for Pro Tools? Steve Macbook Pro 2.33 Intel Core 2 Duo 3 GB RAM |
