Melodyne was the first to do it as far as I know:

Can We get that this year DIGI ?

Why would you want to resize something that has non-resizeable background image? Would you like to make it smaller so not all controls are visible? Would you like to make it bigger so it wastes screen space? Would you like to ask all plugin developers to re-design their plugin UI so that the controls would be "floating"?

And you do notice that enabling window resizing makes the window somewhat bigger. That means fewer plulgin windows can be visible at once. I wouldn't want that.

I vote no.

This is a good feature request for many plugins. AutoTune is almost unusable in graphical mode due to its size. If properly designed this feature would have no negatives for people like JFreak. . . just don't use the feature.

Some issues are easy and offer simple, binary choices (i.e. “Cake or death?”*). Other issues aren’t nearly as easy and may require as many answers as there are respondents. The only constant in all this is that choice itself is always more desirable than the lack of it.

* Thank you Eddie Izzard.

for once I could use metering plugins on a dedicated monitor instead of running dedicated metering apps on a second computer
