Default Convert Audio To MIDI

I just got BFD the other day (which I'm digging) and I would like to replace the really bad drumming on a session with BFD. Is there a way or plug-in that will convert audio to MIDI so I can quantize it and retrigger BFD?

for all i know there is no way for converting audio to midi but you can use the beat detective to quantize your drum tracks (with le you can only use the Beat detective on one track each time) and you can triger some drum sampels on drums with the sound replacer

I've been wishing some enterprising plug-in developer would create something like this. Sort of like a soundreplacer that drops MIDI notes rather than audio samples. What a concept!!!????

I'm sure you already know that there are hardware boxes that will trigger MIDI notes from audio transients. I practically spent half my assistant life in front of a drumkat getting triggers for the mixer I assisted. It worked pretty well, but I'm sure there are more up-to-date boxes out there that do that better.

Maybe we should start a campaign for an update to soundreplacer???
