Default Importing recording session into Pro Tools!

Hi, i have just recorded an album in the studio.
The engineer is going to mix some of the tracks for our EP.
Was wanting to bring home the whole session and mess around with it myself.

Have PT8 with a digi 003.

How do i do this, not sure the tech exactly knows.
What is the best way to store these files, i have a portable hard drive/storage drive. Or is there a better quality option?

Then how do i get the tracks onto my PTools.

thanks.

What does the studio use? If its any version of Pro Tools, the can connect your drive, open each song file and choose File>Save Session Copy>point to your drive and select the appropriate settings(depending on which version of PT they have). If they use some other DAW, then consolidate every track so each track is a single audio file, and export to your hard drive as wave files(if the studio recorded at 96K, I suggest exporting to 48K files to ease the power requirements on your LE system). With this scenario, you would create a new session on your system(for each song) and import the audio to new tracks.

Ok, thanks, yes it is Pro Tools they use in the studio.
SO i will just take along my HP pocket media drive to save them on for transport then open the files into a new session?

Sounds pretty simple, thanks.
