PT and Aux IO - usb mixers as aux devices ?
Has anybody been successfully using USB mixers as input devices using them as AUX io inputs on a native ( or other playback engine ) system , ultimate or other? Apparently it’s not for mission critical applications according to Avid but would be interested if anyone has feedback as could be a useful workflow for production needs . My use of Tr8s drum machine as aux io was mixed in terms of drop outs etc occasionally , hard to determine audio quality with lofi drum hits unlike detail you might get from a mic into a pre on a board . The ssl big 6 looks great but again if the aux io functionality compromises the sonics not particularly needed …

Re: PT and Aux IO - usb mixers as aux devices ?
We use small Behringer USB mixers for remote work. Of course mission critical but not in terms of drop outs or audio quality because it's always Zoom, Teams or whatever being the bottleneck.
