Soundflow for combining pro tools keyboard shortcuts

I am currently demoing Soundflow and I'm finding myself easily frustrated. It''s capable of FAR more than I am looking for. I have a pair of S1s and a Dock with Avid Control app, so I'm not looking for Streamdeck type hardware or control.

What I'm hoping to do is create custom macros that combine a few editing shortcuts that aren't found in the Pro Tools menus. For example:

Control/Tab selects the next clip
Command M mutes the clip.

I'd like to create a single keyboard shortcut that does both. Is this easily achieved and if so, where are those commands found in the Soundflow menus?


EDIT: I found what I was looking for with the "Press Key" action. What a useful app!

Keyboard Maestro would be a better choice for macros like this.

While Soundflow and Keyboard Maestro are very powerful utilities, you do not need either for remapping stock keyboard shortcuts. If you're running 2022.4 or later you can create custom shortcuts for the items you suggested like.

Control/Tab selects the next clip
Command M mutes the clip.

I posted this same question on the soundflow forum and was answered in less than an hour with an incredibly helpful response. Happy to say I'm busy making several more that will save me a TON of time while dialog editing. What great support!

No but the two you mentioned earlier are native Pro Tools shortcuts which can be remapped:

Control/Tab selects the next clip

Command M mutes the clip.

Right. I've been using those forever, but the whole point of the macro is combine the two into a single key command. Maybe I'm misunderstanding...can re-mapping combine them into one?

I'm using Eucon and mapping all sorts of things to soft keys on my Dock/S1 rig, but for this particular macro, I want to use the keyboard instead of the soft keys. Does Eucon also manage key command macros without softkeys?

You can program softkeys to trigger keyboard commands. This is done in the Eucon application.

Can you explain what you’re trying to do exactly?
