Default Midi causes 9128 Error

Hi Guys,

I did my research of DUC, as well as google, no clear answers to my question. here's the deal

I send midi to external devices (roland fantom and mv) I use focusrite saffire 56 for 16 channels of midi and mackie pro control for another 16 channels. when i send midi from saffire everything works fine doesnt matter if i feed mv or fantom it works. When i add 2nd midi device to the play, then i get 9128 error. (i tried multiple midi devices, mackie 3 ports, roland fantom set to midi) each time same thing. I reduced cores 1 by 1, cpu limit, increased buffer 128/256, pretty much did all the stuff i was supposed to do but no luck. Im 100% sure the issue is inside pro tools itself because even when i disconnect devices and just keep 2nd midi out (mackie or fantom) that appears again. when i send signal in/out via saffire thats the only working thing, but i have 2 things connected and i need 2x 16 channels of midi in and out of pro tools. I wonder if there's any solution for that.

Normally pro tools works fine, the midi is the only error i get. There's no plugins in the session, just audio tracks, few buses and midi tracks. I'd appreciate any help

PS its not for VIs its for external sampler and synth
Thanks

no help? I did testing today, it works fine @ buffer 1024 (but its virtually unusable for sequencing due to latency)

any other midi port (except saffire 56) is causing cpu spikes

How do you have these physically connected? provide as much detail as possible.

saffire connected via firewire, then midi i/o to roland mv, mackie pro control universal connected via usb and midi i/o to fantom (alternative roland fantom connected via usb in midi mode)

i tried switching usb ports, they are not used via hubs, everything directly plugged into computer. Saffire works fine, no cpu spikes, the other two cause cpu going crazy. No plugins, very basic session. It happened also when i put only 5 midi tracks in the session, nothing else just those midi tracks.
