Default OT xw9300 Only sees 2 gigs on ram XP Pro

Hi All,
I have a HP xw9300 and just noticed that only 2 gigs of ram is recognized by the OS. I have five gigs installed. The computer in the bios, sees all 5 gigs. When I boot to windows, XP only sees 2 gigs. I know windows can't address all 5 gigs but it should see another gig or so. I know I looked when I first installed windows and the Os saw 3.19 gigs. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Brandon

Even if the Bios is recognizing it... did you Reset Bios to default settings, (To remove any custom tweaking that may effect your Ram configuration)

Is there anything in your Hardware manager / device manager in XP that is showing as "Un-recognized" ?

Hi Kingfish,
Thanks for the help. After some serious googling I found out that a ram setting in the bios was the problem. After changing the ram setting XP sees 3.25 of the 5 gigs. I'm happy.
Thanks again,
Brandon
