One of the more egregious bits of legacy code in PT for me are the parts that only allow you to toggle something by clicking in/on a small box (which has been more problematic as screen resolutions have increased). Focus toggle buttons fall under this, as do most of the check boxes in the Event Operations Window. When these can be (optionally) assigned to keyboard shortcuts or Eucon commands, it will be a wonderful day.

it's also because that plug-in is then also target for shortcuts. Save preset eg.

An aspect that relates to these ideas is the accessibility and script-ability of these bits of code. The scripting SDK and apps like SoundFlow would always love a real text menu or clearly code-identified buttons with actual text.

I'd always want real text and nice icons to be present for most UI elements, even if an option can make it simpler for some contexts hiding the text, etc.

There was a trend for a while to make things pretty at all costs of accessibility, but that's turning around as programs got too difficult for people to learn because of little hidden not obvious functions:

"That very tiny red square "target window" that allows multiple windows to open?? Why isn't it OBVIOUS?" Hmph, yeah right.

It's 2023. Many many many people do not have... you guessed it... control surfaces. A new feature here would be brilliant as everyone else notes. (this comment meant for mod to consider)

Don't forget you can set Window Configs which include open plugins. Put them where you want them and save it. Lets you recall sets of plugins if you like.
