Pro Tools 7.1cs9 crash when doing midi edits

Hi all

I've installed 7.1.cs9 on a Hp xw9300/AMD/2G mem and found that it crashes randomly when doing midi edits like cut and paste....lengthening midi notes....even quantising a selected track.It's random.......sometimes nothing goes wrong for hours.....then suddenly crashes.
Some of the crashes happen when i do block edits across a few tracks to cut and paste to another bar line...
I'm running a few virtual synths......Reason/Ivory/Stylus RMX/Atmosphere/Trilogy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
