Can't get PT to recognize my Digi002 Rack

SO i upgraded to PT 10.2 from PT LE 8.0.5 besides having some other issues, for the life of me i can't get PT to see the 002 - it keeps defaulting back to my computer sound card and i can't seem to correct this

any thoughts

Hi, Jrup, You have to Download the 002R Drivers to work with PT 10, the last drivers, You can get here this drivers and I recomend to Instal Pro Tools 10.2

To update to 10.2, you will need to UNinstall your present Pro Tools software. When you do, make sure you also select to UNinstall the HD driver(if you don't, the newer version will not install).

Hello to all, first i want to start out with sort of a joke, I used to drink lots of beer and swear a lot when i was in the upgrade way, Now, I've matured and I get a prescription for anti anxiety medication, take long walks, and drink herbal tea.

Yes, Don't install Protools 10 until you have your Hardware drivers installed. They are Protools version 9 drivers, I still don't know, Is there is a installation manual? I can visualize some programmer going well duh! of course you need the hardware drivers before you install the software. Why aren't these users keeping up!

i actually was very careful about uninstalling all the old drivers and installed the new ones and still no luck. i guess maybe i will uninstall all and give it a shot again and see what happens. sort of discouraging making the purchase and now being stuck for the past almost 2 weeks without being able to get it running - thank god for my backup laptop running PT 8

Direction is lacking! JRUP What are your specifics? Are you on windows 7? going from Windows 7 protools 8 up to 10? This process seems to require trial and error. I can only imagine trying to write a good upgrade process! The variables are so huge!

Since its a 002, I have to ask. Are you sure it works? Testing on another system that uses one might tell the tale. Of course I am referring to the dreaded "power harness issue". Remember, they all work....until the time they stop. Mine happened to quit while I was building a new computer and I spent 3 hours trying to fix software, when all the time, it was the hardware

I am going from PT8.0.5 to PT 10.2 on Windows 7 64Bit

I also tested the 002R on my laptop and everything works fine with it so there is definitely something that is just giving me a hell of a time. i am going to uninstall everything and try from scratch again and see if i get any further than i am now.

Sorry if this is redundant(I'm tired and its late). Are you hip to holding the N key when opening Pro Tools to go straight to the audio engine selection window so you can select the 002?
