Eleven Rack user interface gone !

Hi there
I am quite a newbie I guess.
I am using (learning) Pro Tools 10 with Eleven Rack. Yesterday i had no problem getting the user interface for Eleven Rack on my computer screen, but today after upgrading PT to 10.0.1 I can't find the user interface for 11R ?

I have checked the windows menu, but no 11R there. I can record guitar....thats no problem, but the user interface is gone....

What am I doing wrong ?

Buddy I had the same thing. Mine turned out to be a dodgy midi driver, once I removed that everything worked fine.

Does pro tools take ages to start up and lags in the setting up midi screen?

Should have read this closer since you already stated it wasn't showing up in the Pro Tools Window menu list.

This is a commonly asked question, and there's even a sticky about it. During a Pro Tools upgrade, the certain files required used by the Expansion Pack get overwritten. Just run the first part of the expansion pack installer (NOT the firmware updater) to put the required files back into PT...

The Expansion Pack_73715 is the one you should be installing. When you're done re-installing follow it with a repair disk permissions, and finally reboot the system before trying it again.

Another thing, if all else fails check if 11R is selected as a MIDI device in ProTools configuration, if it isn't what you described is exactly what will happen.

Hi there everybody

Thanx for all input and suggestions...

Today after i got home from work i started up pro tools and opened my latest project....and for some reason the Eleven Rack user interface did load !!

Also when I look in the windows menu, 11R is back in the bottom. (was gone yesterday)....spooky

Have not done any changes to PT, so I don¨t know what is going on...

so far so good.....

I have checked the midi input device and 11R is selected......but shouldn't 11R Rig setting and patch be displayed in the top menu of Pro Tools? I think i was there before....but not anymore.

You have to select the view for it to show up in the top menu, I think it's in the "Window" menu if I'm not mistaken.

I right clicked on the top menu and i could choose Eleven rack... It wasn´t there yesterday....

When it wasn't in the Window pulldown a reboot of both system and 11R for these types of things is always a good idea to try. Glad you got it squared away.
