Problem with software licenses when buying used consoles?
If we buy second hand Profiles or SC48's, and the seller doesn't have the info for the original ILOK accounts, what issues will we encounter?
As I understand it the console should function fine, but we wouldn't be able modify the factory plugin bundle at all. The only other issue I'm aware of is if the hard drive fails, we wouldn't be able to reinstall the software on a new drive without purchasing new licenses from AVID. What else am I missing? Thanks!
