Default Tempo operations window

Excuse my answer perhaps incongruous but I pray you to equally give me some explanation. I am trying to vary the tempo of an audio track from the Tempo operations window speeding up or slowing down the tempo values, but no audible result happen. The timebase selector of the track is on samples, elastic audio isn't in action; perhaps is this the error? but in Pro Tools Reference Guide there is no mention (in that chapter) to previously activate elastic audio. Thanks in advance. niky

What kind of audio are you trying to change? You could change your track to tick based and enable Elastic Audio and probably accomplish what you're trying to do.

If you slice up audio clips and change the tempo, and you have it sample based, the audio clips won't move. If you have it tick based, the clips will move but the content(wave) will stay the same. If you enable Elastic Audio, poly, mono, rhythmic, etc, everything will change.

Yes, and this method works well with drums and percussion for slight changes in tempo and can be done in conjunction with Beat Detective to automatically create crossfades between edited the clips. The drawback to using Elastic Audio, even using X-form, is that you're going to lose some sonic quality.
