Pro Tools 8.04-Please Help

My midi channels outputs are inactive. I can't get my sound modules to work with inactive output. I have digi 002 rack hardware, new Mac Book Pro i5, new pro tools 8.04 software installed, motif rack, roland, proteus sound module, and M-Audio Midisport 8x8/s interface. All cables are connected but I can't get midi channels output to work because its inactive. How can I make it active. Thanks. Fred

Did you set up your MIDI studio connections in the Audio/MIDI setup?

Yes, all the cable in Midi Studio setup is connected. It was working before but I don't know what happened to midi outputs channels. The output channels are grey and INACTIVE. I have to make it active, I don't know how!! Thanks. Fred
