any ideas on (-6088) error??
long story short...running PTLE 7.1 on an older P4 2.26ghz w/2g of ram...audio drive is on its' own controller...session consists of 1 INST track, 3 MIDI trax, 1 audio, 1 aux...using STYLUS RMX, SAMPLETANK2, KONTAKT2, WAVES REN BASS, WAVES REN CHANNEL.
session playback starts...no problem...issue save command...no problem...stop playback then restart playback...issue save command and i get H/W buffer error, increase buffer (-6088). WTF??????? and the system usage is around 35%-40%, no more. and no matter how many services i turn off, the error can always be repeated!!??? no IRQ conflicts either. with the plugins being used PTLE is using about 1g of ram. so what would/could cause the -6088??? i'm at a lost!!! suggestions most appreciated!! thanks...mykhal SiSoftware Sandra Processor Model : Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.26GHz Speed : 2.26GHz Performance Rating : PR2462 (estimated) Cores per Processor : 1 Unit(s) Threads per Core : 1 Unit(s) Internal Data Cache : 8kB Synchronous, Write-Thru, 4-way set, 64 byte line size, 2 lines per sector L2 On-board Cache : 512kB ECC Synchronous, ATC, 8-way set, 64 byte line size, 2 lines per sector Mainboard Bus(es) : X-Bus AGP PCI IMB USB FireWire/1394 i2c/SMBus MP Support : 1 Processor(s) MP APIC : Yes System BIOS : IBM 24KT54AUS System : IBM 83113DU Mainboard : IBM IBM Total Memory : 2GB DDR-SDRAM Chipset 1 Model : Intel Corporation 82845G/GL/GV Brookdale Host-Hub Interface Bridge (A1-step) Front Side Bus Speed : 4x 133MHz (532MHz data rate) Total Memory : 2GB DDR-SDRAM Memory Bus Speed : 2x 133MHz (266MHz data rate) Video System Monitor/Panel : Plug and Play Monitor Adapter : NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 Physical Storage Devices Removable Drive : Floppy disk drive Hard Disk : ST3250824A (233GB) Hard Disk : ST325082 4A SCSI Disk Device (233GB) CD-ROM/DVD : HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8160B (CD 48X Rd) (DVD 6X Rd) CD-ROM/DVD : LITE-ON LTR-40125S (CD 40X Rd, 40X Wr) Logical Storage Devices DISK2_VOL1 (J:) : 64GB (40GB, 62% Free Space) (FAT32) DISK2_VOL4 (M:) : 33GB (25GB, 76% Free Space) (FAT32) DISK2_VOL2 (K:) : 68GB (66GB, 98% Free Space) (FAT32) DISK2_VOL3 (L:) : 68GB (45GB, 66% Free Space) (FAT32) IBM_PRELOAD (C:) : 232GB (145GB, 63% Free Space) (NTFS) CD-ROM/DVD (G:) : N/A CD-ROM/DVD (H:) : N/A 3.5" 1.44MB (A:) : N/A Peripherals Serial/Parallel Port(s) : 0 COM / 1 LPT USB Controller/Hub : Intel(R) 82801DB/DBM USB Universal Host Controller - 24C2 USB Controller/Hub : Intel(R) 82801DB/DBM USB Universal Host Controller - 24C4 USB Controller/Hub : Intel(R) 82801DB/DBM USB Universal Host Controller - 24C7 USB Controller/Hub : Intel PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller USB Controller/Hub : USB Root Hub USB Controller/Hub : USB Root Hub USB Controller/Hub : USB Root Hub USB Controller/Hub : USB 2.0 Root Hub USB Controller/Hub : USB Composite Device FireWire/1394 Controller/Hub : Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller Keyboard : HID Keyboard Device Mouse : HID-compliant mouse Human Interface : IBM Rapid Access IIIe Keyboard Human Interface : HID-compliant device Human Interface : IBM Rapid Access IIIe Keyboard Human Interface : USB Human Interface Device Human Interface : USB Human Interface Device Human Interface : IBM ScrollPoint III (HID) MultiMedia Device(s) Device : SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio Printers and Faxes Model : HP DeskJet 710C Model : Fax Model : Auto HP LaserJet 4 on CEIL Power Management AC Line Status : On-Line Operating System(s) Windows System : Microsoft Windows XP/2002 Home 5.01.2600 (Service Pack 1) Network Services Adapter : Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection
