Default No "Eleven Rig" input option

Hey there,

I'm having some trouble with this new Eleven Rack. I am running Pro Tools 8.0.5 on Windows 7 64bit. I installed driver 1.1.7, which is the latest driver listed here on avid for the Eleven Rack.

So, I start up a session and make a stereo audio track. The user guide says there should be "Eleven Rig 1" as an input option, but for me there isn't. So, when I try just using "input>interface>in 1-2" I AM getting signal from my monitors but it sounds like garbage. Low volume, fuzzy, very choppy like listening to a radio station out of your range.

I've tried searching the internet for someone with the same problem but I can't find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That did it! Thanks a lot for that. Unfortunately I am still have the terrible sound problem.

So, when I am just running my Eleven Rig through my monitors with no Pro Tools running, the sound is great both through my monitors and headphones.

Now when I start Pro Tools, make the stereo audio track, choose "Eleven Rig L/R" and record enable it, the sound is terrible. I tried plugging in headphones to see if it was something going on with my monitors but I'm getting the same terrible sound in the headphones.

Thanks a lot for your help, I'll start searching the internet for fixes on my current problem.

Edit* SO I found this thread: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=320659

I change my USB cable, and that fixes it. Glad it was that simple. Thanks again for your help Benoni.

Hmm... can't believe they are still having bad USB cables shipped with new 11R's. That's been going on for years, you would think Avid would change that.

I just upgraded to PT 11 (Win) today and had this same issue. Defaulted I/O to fix (thanks Benoni). However, all other new files I created had the same issue so it appears that the template for Guitar Tracking may be bad on the downloaded upgrade. Resaving the Guitar Tracking template fixed that.
