Cedar DNS 1000/2000 \"before and after\" files
Hi there,
I'm considering the purchase of one of the above machines, because I can't stand what x- and Z-noise are doing to sound.. Thing is, it's a lot of money. Are there any users out there willing to post some short "before and after" clips? I'm very interested what it can do with broadband noise in general, both subtle corrections as drastic surgery ;-) TIA, Peter

You can do this yourself by sending samples to Cedar. The will process a short (I sent 30 sec) file
free as part of their forensic audio business. The guy who did mine told me what he used to do the work. Otherwise, a DNS1000 is about $80/day to rent in LA. Philip Perkins

I don't have any files to offer but for what it's worth, I had a before/after demo of a Cedar DNS 2000 about 2 days ago and it is... gulp... AMAZING... to put it lightly. Truly a revolution in noise reduction. Wish I needed enough cleanup to justify the purchase myself.

I just had a 2 week demo of the DNS-1000. I also tested the Cube-Tec plugs as well. The DNS is amazing!!!!! I am out of town for a bit but I will try to send you some files when I get back. I feel like I still have a lot of finess to learn with the DNS. You can certainly go too far but wow, it is worth it if you ask me. I will be getting one as soon as the budget allows.
As far as rental, where can you get one for $80/day. That seems cheap.

yes, there are rental hoses in LA that do rent the DNS 2000
the cost of a few days rental is worth the cost if you are undecided about any gear you are thinking about

i live in atlanta and i can't find a single place that will rent me a dns 1000!!! but i really want to hear what it can do. can one of you guys send me a before and after clip too? thanks!!
