Default Adding 2nd internal hard drive to G5....

Hey y'all...

Quick question. I'm going to add a second internal hard drive to my G5, mostly for storage. I have external FW drives that I generally work from.

I have added extra internal drives on my G4 HD system without problem. Usually 7200 drives. I've even worked on them from time to time.

What I'm wondering is... does anyone have any favorites or types of drives to avoid when adding one to a G5? It's a dual 2.0 ghz with 1.5 RAM. The extra drive will mostly be used for storage, though... I'd love to have the ability to work from it if absolutely necessary. (Like my G4)

Anyone have experience with this.. or suggestions?

Thanks!

I've had 2 samsung drives in G5's like yours in service for a couple of years. I use the 2nd internal for storage, video and some sample playback. Before that I had 2 different western digital drives start making a whining noise and then tank.

There may be better suggestions, but that has worked for me.
