PT11/Mbox3 have a problem concerning sample rate
I am using PT11 at the moment and I downloaded from IK Multimedia the demo of SampleTank3. When the midi-based software was ready it asked to use my Mbox3 as interface. I think it changed the sample rate to 44.1 kHz.
Now when I try to open my sessions with PT11 it says: "the current playback engine does not support a sample rate of 48 kHz." Before this everything was alright. I recorded today with PT11, but now I can't open the session (24bit, 48kHz). I have tried everything to change the sample rate of Mbox3, but I am confused. I re-installed the Mbox2 driver and even re-installed PT11. I deleted the also SampleTank3 and all the files that came with it. Now, what can I do? How can I make PT11 to open my sessions? Thanks! |

Re: PT11/Mbox3 have a problem concerning sample rate
You need to set your internal soundcard as the Windows default playback device.
Control Panel> Sound> Playback Right-click your internal sound card (not the MBOX) and choose "Set as Default Device"

Re: PT11/Mbox3 have a problem concerning sample rate
Yep, it works fine. I have the PC soundcard patched to a spare set of inputs on my console so I can still hear Windoze sounds.

Re: PT11/Mbox3 have a problem concerning sample rate
Similar situation here. I use a analog mixer for routing and monitor control, I have my PC soundcard hooked up to the tape returns, while my interface is routed through channels 11-12. This gives me independent level control.

Re: PT11/Mbox3 have a problem concerning sample rate
Hi again!
Windows 7 sound is running now by Realtek. I don't have a separate sound card in my computer, because I felt I didn't need one when I was building my PC for Pro Tools and internet use. My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-Z87N and processor Intel Core i7-4770K (8 RAM, 3 hard drives). Is it possible to listen Win7 sound with my Mbox3 without having this problem concerning sample rate issue (with PT11)? If yes, what should I do exactly? Thank you for your replies! |
