New pro tools le 8 program trying to hook up a mixer need help (old mixer)

How's everybody doin my name is de notes i'm tryin to see if I can hook up there mixer i got to pro tools le 8 up it is a eurorack mx 1604aKIND OF A OLD MIXER but it works.....Can it hook up to pro tools idk if it can, i hooked up everything and went to setup but it wasn't on tha list of mixers is there something I can do to hook it up to pro tools PLEASE HELP ME OUT

Um. Yes. At least, technically, yes. Run cables from the outputs of your PT interface (you didn't say which one) to the inputs of the mixer. ::shrug:: Not usually recommended with LE because of the limited number of outputs on most LE interfaces. More often used with HD, I'd guess.

You can hook most anything up to your interface, but you MUST use a Digi/Avid interface(Mbox, 002, 003). Then its simply a matter of using the correct cables and the correct inputs to the interface. To use a Mixer, you would come out of the mixer and go into LINE inputs on the interface(usually TRS connections.

I got tha pro tools le 8 with tha m-box2 mini

Dont I have to go to setup then to midi midi studio setup or input devices and put in tha manufacturer and model cuz tha mixer i got is not on tha list

The mixer wont show up in Pro Tools.

Assuming the mixer has quarter inch outputs, I would send the Left and right to the Mbox line/DI inputs(1&2) using good quality guitar cables(the mini is unbalanced anyway). As said, your IO in Pro Tools will only offer 1 and 2(corresponding to the 2 input channels of the Mbox mini).
