No Power On Mbox2

i was previously running ProTools LE 6.8.1 on OS 10.3.9. everything was working fine. i've since installed OS 10.4.6 on my powerbook. i updated to ProTools LE 7. now my Mbox2 will not power on. this is my first mac so i am completely unfamiliar with anything that has to do with OS. i have a feeling this is a no brainer, but i'm just a noob at this. if anyone has the patience to explain, i would greatly appreciate it.

Powerbook G4
1.5GHz PPC
1 Gb RAM
