OT: Easiest way to split audio files
Received this question from my friend with an Imac... He's got lots of cd's of our band practices and wants to turn 10 to 15 second snippets into separate tracks. Is there any easy way to do this with Itunes or any of the software that came packaged with his machine? If not, can any shareware do this? If not, what's the cheapest, easiest solution?

Re: OT: Easiest way to split audio files
The cheapest solution is to download Pro Tools Free for OS 9. Import the tracks and PT will split them.
If they are mp3 files, then iTunes (free) will convert the files to .aiff, then you can import into PT. All free. Can't get cheaper than that. |
