XP Pro locks up

Has anybody else had trouble with the PTLE for XP causing the system to lock up? I'm running a split OS of 98 and XP Pro. During the installation the process, my system locks up during the driver install. I'm running an Intel 700GHz w/ 640 MB of RAM and 200 GB of HDisk. The 98 side of PTLE works great. I just want the other 8 channels at mixdown. I've pulled out all of my perfs during the install, and it still fails at the same point. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
