Bounce to Quicktime
Has Bounce to Quicktime been removed in 2021.3 LE? I cannot find it and it is EXTREMELY critical for my workflow!

Re: Bounce to Quicktime
I don't have the details, but in Catalina and Big Sur, you can't run 32 bit code, and presumably there is some 32 bit stuff in QT or PT that limits quicktime. I know people have workarounds, let's hope they chime in. I never use QT in PT.

Re: Bounce to Quicktime
Bounce to Quicktime is still there.
(It doesn't/hasn't used "Quicktime" in quite a few versions now since Apple had the security issue -- it uses the Avid Video Engine which was taken from Avid Media Composer) But it is called "Bounce Quicktime" in the File menu. I don't know what "LE" is... there hasn't been a Pro Tools LE since version 9 (IIRC) To the OP, you haven't mentioned if you are on Windows or Mac.

Re: Bounce to Quicktime
In Catalina and above, there isn't a separate menu option for Bounce to QuickTime. It is incorporated into the Bounce Mix window. In the File Type drop down menu you can select MOV (Public Beta) or MXF (OP-Atom).
Be aware, however, that the Same As Source option has been removed, so there is no video pass-thru and bouncing to video has to re-render the video, which can take a very long time. A better option (and probably good to get used to the new workflow going forward) is to bounce audio-only to the length of the video, then replace audio outside of Pro Tools using a third-party utility like FFWorks, the free Shutter Encoder, or something similar.

See my posts on how to make selections in your window of Movie Bounce, where you need to select a section, other than at the head/start of picture, and bounce a selection for approvals like a scene or cue, which I have to do a lot here. I found using grid mode and selecting the movie and the same duration of audio will get it to work. Otherwise I had a week of trial and error trying to get it to work in the middle of a big job, which was a real mess for me. Here is the whole thread for you to look thru and see a lot of people are having issues with this. https://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=414754 also see this last page where I put some info there: https://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=414754&page=3 G
