With the advent of pro tools 9 why not do away with digi hardware altogether. As noted the cam is nothing but hassle, on my 002r I did away with cam years ago in favour of the mini jack to alt-src.

I picked up a TC Konnekt 24d a few months back and can't believe how solid and fluid the drivers are compared with cam.

We don't use CAM any longer - the Mbox 2 and Mbox 3 series all use a newer, multi-client driver that has been a LOT less problematic and easier to use.

I should preface that a bit - CAM is still used for products that started with it and for the HD Native line as it's based on a lot of TDM architecture. We're definitely looking at ways to change that in a future update for HD Native.

If you see my previous post - the 002/003 were based on the HD driver for reasons I won't go into. It made sense at the time those drivers were being developed.

I understand what you said but my question was in reference to the fact that you said "We're definitely looking at ways to change that in a future update for HD Native."
It would be nice to be able to use my 003 with a HD system.

No, in plain english it means that there isn't a piece of software out there that doesn't have problems at one time or another, for various reasons.
