Question Copy and Paste(drag and drop) issues

I have ProTools LE and Windows XP, and I'm working on a track with a four bar loop (actually it's about four bars and an 1/8 of a note) that starts on bar 8 and ends on bar 12. When I copy the loop and drag and drop it to bar 16 it overlaps the first loop by about a 1/8 of a note. This 1/8 of a note contains about 1/16 of a note of silence. The copied loop cuts off the end of the audio on the first loop. Is there any way that I can drag and drop and overlap the two loops without cutting off the sound on the preceding loop and keep all the sound of each loop? Sort of like blending the two loops together, you know what i mean?
