Default Apogee Minime

With an Apogee Minime would I be able to record at 24/96 with the digi 001. Also would this mic pre be better than the Octapre or the Digimax lt ?
Thanks!

you probably could record 24/96 with the mini-me and the 001. but it would be a BAD idea. the highest quality the 001 supports is 24/48k so therefore any external gear must all be set equally. if you try to record the mini-me at 24/96 and your session is at lets say 24/44.1 your audio is going to be all messed up. id set the mini-me whatever your session is set at.

to answer your other question. ive heard great things about the mini-me. im willing to bet its better then the digimax lt or octopre. but im not certain cause ive never had experience with a mini-me.

my suggestion to you is to pick up a digimax lt. for $500 less then the mini-me you get 8 great mic pre's instead of two, and better quality conversion then the 001. the digimax lt over all sounds better then the 001 itself.

hope ive been some help. take it easy bro.

Mariner ,

The 001, just like the Mbox will only support max 48Khz sampling rate.
You'll need to step up to 002/R for 96Khz recording.
So...it's a no.

cheers,
