Default Best Way - 4 Track RCA's into 003

I've got a project that was recorded on a cassette four track. The mixdown out on the deck is RCA connections. I've got RCA to 1/4 inch cables to do this but haven't done it in a long time (not too many cassette four trackers left out there).

What would be the recommended way to get the mix into protools via the 003? Where should those 1/4 inch cables go into the 003?

thanks.

I would use analog in's 5-8 via the RCA to 1/4 in adapters you mentioned. It's important to check the entire project for peaks that will cause digital clips.

thanks. I figured that was the best way to go about it.

Always good to get back to hear some four track work to remind me that in the end it comes down to really good songs first. The rest is the easier part. And a couple of these songs were really good.

and we didn't have 96 tracks!! I recently put all my 4 track stuff into PT and it took a month with all the tapes I had.
The fun, or not so fun part is if you bounced a 2 track mix to another cassette and then added vox, etc on top of that, when you put those new tracks in PT, you now have cassette drift to deal with, or at least I did, compared to the original 4 tracks.

Perhaps there's a way to use elastic audio with that to quantize it somehow.
