how to find non-existant input path/buss assignments?
YANQ (Yet Another Newbe Question) but I did try searching...
Working with sessions moved from another studio: open PT (10.2) and it complains about missing stuff. I look at the detailed report and it says The input path "36" was made inactive because its stem is missing. OK, I don't have an input path "36", so how do I eradicate this? Also, there are a ton of buses defined in the IO setup. I tried to clear these, and create my own but it says they are in use. I look at the mix window and I see no insert and no sends and no input or output assignments to any buses at all. In fact all the insert and sends are clear.

One thing that can help is to open the Setup>IO window and bus tab. Look down the right side for anything in italics. Uncheck those and save the session.

Re: how to find non-existant input path/buss assignments?
Thank you gentlemen,
Once again this forum has served me well. There indeed was a hidden track, for a keyboard that was not actually used, so I didn't think there was a missing track. old dogs can indeed learn new tricks.
