Default ideas? PT6.9.2 w/ 10.4.1 cannot find Hardware

updated to PT6.9.2 with Tiger 10.4.1
based on Digi pages and forum posts, everything should be working and seems to be for many people, but I'm getting the error upon loading PT:

Unable to locate Digidesign hardware. Maker sure your hardware is connected and turned on.

Well, I've checked everything, uninstalled & reinstalled to 6.4 then back to 6.9 and up to 6.9.2 and I'm still getting the same error. I've powercycled my 192 I/O and rececked all the connectors etc. Trashed the preferences, any ideas?

Morph-
I had the same problem yesterday for about 5 hours....until I realized that I read the update form more carefully and realized that I had gone from 6.7 straight up to 6.9.2....I ended up doing a clean instal of 6.4 then I did a update to 6.9 ....then I did an update to 6.9.2. This fixed the problem for me.

I started at 6.7 -> 6.9 -> 6.9.2 first, then started over: 6.4 -> 6.9 -> 6.9.2 I'm stuck!

Hey Morph,

Can you open the terminal, then run this command (just copy and paste)

kextstat | grep digi

Then post the results here please?

Thanks!

Ok so the kexts aren't loading, is this true for you as well Miles?

Morph, can we try the simple things first, can you (or have you) repaired permissions on the volume with Pro Tools on it?

Currently, the only way to get to Pro Tools TDM 6.9.2 is to first install Pro Tools 6.9 on the system. If you have Pro Tools 6.4 or higher, you would install that, then download the 6.9 updater, run that, then run the 6.9 to 6.9.2 updater. A "combo" updater from 6.4 or higher to 6.9.2 will be available soon, but would still require previous installation of 6.4 or higher.

You can install the previous versions on either Panther or Tiger, but the 6.9.2 updater will only run on Tiger.
