Default Reason and Rewire problem

Hi all,

I've been running PTLE7.3 for a few days on my brand new macbook pro and with my new 002r. Everything is working perfectly for me so far except for when I try to rewire pt and reason together.

Reason is not showing up on my list of plugins in the inserts menu. I am using Reason Adapted that came bundled with PT. Reason runs fine stand-alone, but I just can link them up.

Was I supposed to install Reason to a specific area of my hard drive for PT to recognize it?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi,
I'm having the same problem with Reason 2.5!
I've posted my question elsewhere on this forum. I've also contacted tech support, if i hear back from them, i'll let you know.

Hi, you'll need the latest version of Reason Adapted downloadable from here this will also install the latest Rewire bits,

OR just the Rewire can be found here if you want to use any other Rewire apps without installing Reason.

If I remember correctly from my installation, you will need to launch Reason once in "stand-alone", at which point the connection with PT is set up. I think that's also when you authorize your copy..
Make sure to get the latest version first, I think it is 3.0.5

Hi, it's a bit unlikely to work with that version but if you already have 2.5 installed and it's not working it might be worth trying

the latest Rewire extention

let us know if that works.

If you're using an intel based mac, you still need to upgrade to the full version of 3.0.5 ( or whatever is the version that will work natively on intel machines, I believe it's 3.0.5).
