8.0.3 ASIO Drivers not working

Anyone else got a problem. I use Wavelab 6 and Cubase 4, neither of which seem to be working now, the ASIO drivers report no matching hardware.

Otherwise 8.0.3 is working fine for me on XP and Win 7 64-bit.

Uninstalled 8.0.3 and went back to 8.0 and 8.0.1 and the ASIO drivers work just fine in oth of those versions.

Same happens in Win 7 64-bit. If I go back to 8.0 or 8.0.1 the ASIO driver shows up in Wavelab and Cubase and works just fine.

Am I really the only person with this problem? I see over on the PTLE forum lots of folk had problems with the ASIO drivers in 8.0,maybe PTHD just caught up?????

Are you making sure to disable your built in sound card, so that apps will default to using the Digi ASIO driver?

Yes, it's disabled in the BIOS.

Like I say the ASIO Drivers in 8.0 and 8.0.1 work just fine.

If I install 8.0.3 I can see Digidesign ASIO Driver in the list of available drivers, along with the Eleven Rack ASIO driver. But if I select it I get a dialog box back saying something along the lines of "No matching hardware found on this system", same as I get if I select the Eleven Rack ASIO driver (this is obviously understandable because I don't have an Eleven Rack

I should probably say, I have a HD2 Accel PCI system.

DigiSpport Let me know if you want to see the Sandra report from my XP boot. But I get exactly the same behaviour on both, 8.0.1 drivers are good, 8.0.3 drivers don't see my cards...

Try right-clicking on the app that you want to use ASIO with and choosing 'run as administrator' - let me know if it then sees the ASIO driver...

Wavelab is configured to run as Administrator in Win 7 anyway, it sees the ASIO driver, it just can't use it in XP or Win 7.

And the 8.0.3 drivers don't work in XP either! There is only a single Admin user on my XP installation so I can't run a program as anything else.

I've also eliminated my I/O units (I have a 192 I/O and a Mytek 8x192), but even with these switched off, the 8.0.1 drivers function correctly i.e. if I select the Digidesign ASIO Driver I can get into the ASIO control panel.
Whereas the 8.0.3 drivers report no compatible hardware.

Can you just give me a kit with the 8.0.1 ASIO drivers to install over the 8.0.3 ones, so I get the best of both worlds, i.e. the fixes in 8.0.3 and ASIO drivers that work?

I'm definately not going against digi tech, but I've never had to do this. Personally I've always left it on. Only time I have disabled it, I experienced problems.

The System can not see the Digidesign hardware as output?

Do I have to install additional Drivers ?
