Unhappy keyboard shortcut

hello everybody im a newbie to mac and pro tools and was wondering could anybody tell me the keyboard shrtcut for nudging regions and notes the manual says the plus and minus key but evry time i hit it does something else.i have the regular 13 inch macbook and cant figure out how to make the nudge function work.can any body plz help me?

It's the + and - keys on the numeric keypad, which your macbook doesn't have.

I'm pretty sure there is a workaround, but I don't remember it off hand..

Search the forum for "numeric keypad" or similar and you might find the thread..

You can also buy a USB numeric keypad for about $10-15.. It's handy for other things as well.. That's probably what I would do..

You can also use Keyboard Command Focus, which turns most of the qwerty keyboard into single keystroke shortcuts. nudge are the comma and period keys in KCF mode... Look it up in the Shortcuts .pdf

you can also use M and < for nudging

I really wish there was a new playlist shortcut. Also, I heard that there was a shortcut for making specific new tracks, like Master Fader, Aux, Audio Track etc. etc. I know shift-command-N brings up a promt, but I heard there was a shortcut to make specific channels without having to choose from the prompt.

i tried the coma and period in in keyboard focus it still doesnt nudge ?
