Default PT7 problems

Just checking if anyone else have experienced difficulties. After moving to 7.0 then 7.1 then 7.1 cs6, we have had the following problems after the 7.0 install:

- Reason crashes PT and itself on Plu-In launch
- Waves plugs appear "faceless", plug window opens but no gui
- PT occasionally goes into a loop, power-off only solution

Anyone?

Hi Justin,

I did have a couple of the issues you mentioned when opening fairly old sessions, or even some more recent ones. I traced it back to my VST Wrapper and some of the MIDI tracks. Solution was to create a new session and Import all the session Data. That seems to have fixed any hassles I had, and all new session have no glitches.

Hope this helps,

Big D

Known bug. You have probably norwegian windows ;-) - same with polish version.

Set "Regional And Language Options" to US -

OR

1. Select "Regional And Language Options" in controlpanel.
2. Click on the Custumize icon
3. Make the following changes:
Decimal symbol: . (dot)
Digit Grouping Symbol: , (Comma)
List Seperator: , (Comma)
Negative Number Format: -1.1

I have all of these issues except the one with Reason. I have random (but very often) lockups with Ableton Live 5 instead. It was absolutely stabile with 6.9. but now i just can't use it.
<PT occasionally goes into a loop, power-off only solution>
That's the worst part. This happens when cpu load is near at half. I've also noticed that it's connected with graphic somehow, e.g. I can easily reprduce it when I have d2/d3 plugin window open and moving its knobs.
The sessions were created with 7.1 I've tried all of those tricks like trashing preferences, reinstall PT, even tried different video card and memory sticks - no luck.
I had no such problems with 6.9, I had different ones. Now they gone, new had come. I think its done specially for we would not be boring

For Digi to note:
All plugins are up to date. Live version 5.2.
Asus p4c800e deluxe, 3.2ghz, 1.5gb memory, radeon 9600 256mb.

All the best,
Eugene

Hey Justin, do you have hyperthreading enabled? if so, try to disable it and to change computer's driver to "Computer with ACPI" This probably could be the solvation.
